This was my kids and I first time attending. I'm not sure if my expectations was higher than they should have been but it was so/so. the crowd congestion was extremely overwhelming. my 11 month baby was ran over in her stroller by someone who couldn't see out their costume. while she is on the ground sideways with the stroller he ask wheres my phone. like WHAT!30-40 min waits for everything food stand. and you quickly lose your thrill of the place when a plastic sword is 40.00 2 cheeseburgers are 50.00 every meal is minimum ... read more

my family and I have been going to the Ohio Renaisaance Festival for years, every year. We will be taking a break for a while. It was dangerously crowded- I have not experienced this level of crowded ever. More time was spent in lines waiting for food/ drinks/ bathroom than enjoying the Festival. Most vendors were wonderful, buy there were a few- especially selling tickets for games and running gamea/ archery that were not so wonderful. I am not sure we will.be going back.
Nothing like saying tickets from a closure are good any of the other dates in the season then refunding via email 2 days before Friday. No Facebook post, no text, just an email. I'll go to the ones out of state next year, what a joke
Went during a sold out day and assumed the cap in admission would help the crowd. The wait for anything other than water/soda was 15+ minutes to include bathrooms. We once waited 30+ min for the loaded potato vendor to tell us it's 35 more minutes. There wasn't a single table/chair that wasn't occupied and when one finally opened 3-4 people would jockey for position to grab it. They claim to have addressed the over crowding, however that is absolutely not true. My son and friends went today and it was so crowded people couldn't even walk around. For the price of a single ticket, the over crowding needs to tackled. Stop focusing on making money and worry about making it enjoyable for the attendees. We will never attend again.
