This was our first time attending (and last). we were really looking forward to the Viking weekend and all the festivities. we drove in from Indianapolis, IN in the late morning. the parking situation was poorly planned- I think the $3 parking per car exacerbated the long lines. it took about an hour to park and then took 20 minutes or so to leave in the late afternoon, around 3ish. when we left, the line of cars on the highway was approximately 3-4x as long as it was when we arrived. while briefly at the festival, we purch... read more

3 hours to get to the entrance when it’s normally 45 minutes. They can’t direct traffic and won’t open lanes. It’s pathetic. It’s a waste of our money.

If you love to pay to park and then to pay to get into festivals with huge crowds and overwhelming noise, long lines to get overpriced junk food this might be just for you. The free (several shows cost extra) shows were OK but after each show they are begging for tips. What exactly do you get for your $23 per person admission? I do not enjoy myself when I feel I am being shaken down for every dollar in my wallet. I was also surprised that there were no shuttles from the HUGE parking lot to the gate. Also: Don't plan o... read more

We went today and went to buy tickets and they only took cash but sign says cash or credit- so had to find a spot to get signal and buy online. Got inside and 90% shops or food places only took cash. Who carries cash in 2021- then the ATMs were down. Very disappointed and probably will not go back. It was a surprise for our 5 yr old grandson who has been good the whole week at school- he’s been through a lot in the past year- don’t judge— I did find a lil shop to get him a shield and axe- thank heavens- then after paying 60 ... read more

They were not prepared for the amount of visitors and very understaffed. Not enough bathrooms, food lines were absolutely ridiculous. Will not visit or recommend the Christmas Festival to anyone.

This was my first time at the Renaissance Festival since my daughter was in grade school and that was like 28 years ago it has really grown and has a lot more things going on which is pretty cool however, everything you do cost money, pretty steep when you have a family attending cuz the tickets are 23.50, you an get a discount at Kroger get $3 off which isn't bad however food, drinks, rides parking all cost lots... whatever you want to do very expensive. I took my grandkids and they had a blast so that's what made it fun... read more

Went for the first time, it was ok, I have been to better, but the tickets were free, and I still blew close to $100.00 On, food and beer (great selection), but lines were ridiculous!!! Same for medicore food. The BBQ was supposed to be world class and award winning. As a chef who traveled all over the world, it was ok. I am not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but from all the hype I have heard over the years, it is just O.K.

Admission was quite high. Once you got in, everything was an additional cost. The lines were so long I stood in line for almost 2 hours just for some cold water on a very hot day. Maybe a lot more areas for water on hot days would be an improvement. The shows were ok, and the people and vendors were helpful and friendly.
